Albany, N.Y. — The New York State Assembly voted in a pay raise commission for the Legislature as part of their budget bill.

This pay raise commission will be comprised of seven appointed members. The governor’s office will appoint three, the courts would appoint two, and the State Senate and State Assembly would each appoint one.

Lee Perfitt of Oakfield said, « I think they make way too much. I think it should go more towards the people and everybody else make around the same wage. »
